Information sessions will be held next week if you would like to find out more on the new Flex Shuttle service starting in October. Moonbeam will hold their meeting on Monday from 7 to 8 pm at the Raymond-Bouchard Community Center, while in Kapuskasing it’s set for Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Golden Age Center. Kapuskasing Mayor David Plourde says the Flex Shuttle is great news and demonstrates how communities can work together.
“The fact that the communities of Val Rita-Harty, Opasatika and Moonbeam are working so close together with Kapuskasing, I think you are going to see a lot better results in what we do,” Plourde said.
The meetings finish up in Val Rita Harty next Saturday, Sept. 21 from 1 to 2 pm. The new Flex Shuttle will provide door-to-door bus service from Moonbeam to Opasatika including Kapuskasing. People can call 24 hours in advance of their appointment and have the shuttle pick up them and take them where they need to go.
