As Town of Kapuskasing administration begins the process to apply for funding from the province for a new pool, they may not be done with the applications.
Administrator Guylain Baril told Town Council last week that renovations are needed to the Sports Palace.
Baril says there are several things that need to be looked at including the foundation of the North Ice Rink wall and the dasherboards.
Council gave approval to administration last week to seek provincial government funding for a new swimming pool. That application must be completed by November. Baril says the funding is similar to the pool project and it would address the issues at the Sports Palace. He added that they can apply for multiple projects.
