Dave De Lisle Runs For PPC in Federal Election for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing

It appears we are getting closer and closer to an official start date to a Federal Election. Dave De Lisle will be the candidate for the People’s Party of Canada in the riding of Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing. De Lisle, who relocated to Smooth Rock Falls after living in the city of Windsor, says he understands that’s going to be a long race, but he says the people from the north are different than the south.

“I’m excited and yes it’s a lot of work but it’s worth it,” De Lisle said. “People up here are friendly and it’s not like the city where people are combative all the time.

De Lisle says most of his political type experience was spent on the board of directors for the Minor Hockey Association in Windsor. He adds that he was a long-time supporter of the conservatives but felt it was time to change.

“I wasn’t very happy where the conservative party was going,” De Lisle said. “It was moving more centrist and we needed a real conservative party for Canada. Every day you see more and more companies leaving this country.”

Other candidates vying for the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP seat are Incumbent Carol Hughes of the NDP, Heather Wilson of the Liberals, David Williamson of the Conservatives and Max Chapman of the Green Party.
