It appears that tourism numbers are holding steady if not better than they were a year ago. That’s the word from the Curator of the Ron Morel Memorial Museum Julie Latimer who says there have been 2,376 visitors compared to over 2,600 of a year ago. She says they’ve had lots of visitors who were former residents or had family in the area. She says they have been impressed with the museum and the knowledge of Kapuskasing’s rich history. The Ron Morel Memorial Museum also has a facebook page that is doing very well. Latimer says it’s become a new place for people to find out more information.
