Some school aged children learned the basics of starting and running their own business thanks to a program from North Claybelt. Nathalie Leonard says the young Head Start in Business Program has been going on for 18 years and it teachers the children a lot of skills, including a meeting with a banker to learn about business loans.
The children then had the opportunity to sell their products during a market on the circle near the post office. Leonard says the Head Start in Business Program is extremely important as it helps to plant the seed in the child’s mind about owning a business as an option for what they want to do when they get older.
