Many universities in our listening area are enjoying increased enrollment numbers this fall. The L’Universitaire de Hearst is also seeing the number of students registered rising. Director of Communications and Liason Lysann Boisvert says they are happy with preliminary figures and expect them even to rise even more. Boisvert says there are about 90 registered, including 70 that are international students. She adds they are coming in from a variety of different countries such as Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco, Haiti, Vietnam just to name a few.

Boisvert says the students are thrilled with the programs and courses being offered at the school. Universitaire de Hearst will hold orientation classes on August 22 and 23 at its campuses in Timmins, Hearst and Kapuskasing with classes getting underway Monday, Aug. 26.
