The Ontario Government recently announced that it will make changes to funding of its Ontario Autism Program. The Province is looking at designing the program based on the needs of the individual children. Mushkegowuk James Bay MP Guy Bourgouin says it’s unfortunate families have had to wait this long. Bourgouin adds he happy the government listened to the concerns but felt that they shouldn’t wait until the fall to put things into place.
Bourgouin says the families and the opposition party were saying that the funding of the program was wrong and changes had to be made. The Province says it will work within a $600 million budget.
