Ontario’s strongest man for 2019 lives in Kap

Two power records were broken on the weekend, during a fundraiser put on by the Kapuskasing branch of Bikers Helping Hand.

Organizer Sylvie Dalton says one of the records was set by a man from Kap.

“Maxxim Boudreau, who’s a local, became Ontario’s strongest man for 2019 and he adhieved it in his hometown, so that’s quite an achievemen,” she reports.

A woman from out of town set the same record for women.

Dalton says final figures on how much money was raised will take a few days to tally up.

“The whole event, even without having numbers, we consider it a success again,” she remarks.  “Our volunteers are amazing.  The support we got from the town of Kap residents and everything else, businesses, sponsorships were outstanding.”

Bikers Helping Hand is an organization of motorcycle enthusiasts who raise money for individuals in the community get sick or fall on hard times and need a financial boost.
