Crime Stoppers report: Missing firearms from Mattice

The Ontario Provincial Police need your help in solving a theft which occurred at a residence in Mattice, Ontario.

Sometime between September 2017 and September 2018, unknown suspects entered a residence in Mattice, Ontario and stole 20 firearms, including seven handguns.  Mattice is a small community located approximately 35 km’s east of Hearst, Ontario.  Among the firearms taken are:

  • A Remington semi-automatic shotgun
  • A Smith & Wesson revolver
  • A Lakefield bolt-action shotgun

Procuring a stolen firearm is against the law and catching the people responsible for this senseless crime is a step in right direction to making our communities safer.
