After just several months in circulation a local paper is suspending its operations.
The board of directors of Radio Kap Nord Communications Inc. has announced that La Presse Communautaire/The Community Press will suspend publication effective as of tomorrow, May 30th.
In an article on their online site the decision to suspend the newspaper’s operations was done so as a result of production costs.
Editor of La Presse Kevin Anderson did not wish to comment regarding the paper’s recent decision.

La Presse Communautaire was being published in Kapuskasing and distributed in communities stretching from Opasatika to Smooth Rock Falls along Highway 11 in both French and English.
The final edition of the paper was printed and released on Tuesday.
