The challenge is being answered by too many to count.
According to France Gendron, her family’s #viepropre or ‘clean life’ challenge has continued to take off within the local area. When last spoken too, Gendron told MyKapuskasingNow.com a week ago that after beginning their challenge online they had already had a local business and five local schools join within weeks.
Now, a week later, she says it is building as unofficially she estimates around 300 people have now participated so far in the area-wide clean. Gendron says over 100 large garbage bags have now been filled with trash, something she was never anticipating to happen.
Better yet, she says the way community members and groups have come together both young and old is astounding.
Gendron says they have a few ideas to expand their challenge going forward next year, but given the unexpected but awesome results, they see this as a surefire annual challenge.
