Hearst residents are going to be dealing with a two per cent increase in taxes.
Council in Hearst has now made official its budget for the 2019 year, coming in with roughly a slight increase to taxes for residents.
As well, in the upcoming year, roughly $1.5 million will be transferred over the to the capital budget to help with road repairs amongst other necessary town projects.
This two per cent tax increase for residents over the next year will also join the four per cent increase in water tax and roughly seven per cent increase in the cost for wastewater management.
Hearst also came in with a total of $13.6 million in expenses over the past year.
