Highway Culvert Work To Be Done Near Moonbeam And Hearst

Work will be done to gutters near Moonbeam and Hearst.

The province and Minister of Transportation Jeff Yurek has announced $1.3 billion in funding to go towards rebuilding and restoring highways throughout Ontario.

Yurek says the government is delivering on its commitment to be open for business and open for jobs and to do so they are determined to improve their transportation infrastructure to create jobs for the construction industry.

Work is slated to be done on culverts or gutters west and north of Moonbeam, as well as those north and west of Hearst.

Yurek also states that the rehabilitation work to provincial highways should show that the government is putting people at the heart of their decision making, and this funding is an example of that commitment to improve road safety for all Ontarians.

The province is investing $291 million to rebuild and restore 32 highway projects in Northeastern Ontario alone.
