Council in Kapuskasing is taking a moment to extend their sympathies to the Blais family.
Mayor Dave Plourde in a press release from the town said council extends sincere and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Jody and Nicole Blais. He goes on to note that both Nicole and Jody were both well respected entrepreneurs within the community, and thus both significant losses.
Plourde goes on to recognize their contributions, such as Jody’s role in a new senior living complex initiative that is already underway, and without his involvement, the project could not be where it is today.
The Mayor also took time to thank Gilbert Mondoux for his assistance with the search, thanking him for his consistent positivity during the search.
In closing, Mayor Plourde says there are no words to replace the loss that has been experienced, and on behalf of council, they will continue to keep the families and friends of Jody and Nicole in their thoughts.
