Police have arrested a Hearst man for refusing to leave a local bar.

This past Saturday the OPP James Bay Detachments were called to a bar on Front Street when a man refused to leave the premises.

Police arrived and spoke to the man, they asked him to leave but he again refused before officers attempted to arrest him and then he resisted becoming physically aggressive.

Police were able to finally cuff the 49-year-old Hearst man and arrest him on three charges including one charge of assaulting an officer and one count of failing to leave the premises.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Hearst court on April 24th.
