UPDATE AT 9:50pm: Pascal Fraser now says OPP will be part of the search, along with his group. He got a phone call from the OPP and they are combining the two efforts.
Off-trail snowmobilers are being asked to join in a search in the morning, setting out from Timmins in an attempt to find Jody and Nicole Blais. The Kapuskasing couple has been missing since Monday night, when they failed to return to their helicopter hangar in Fauquier.
The search party will leave Day Construction at 125 Kamiskotia Road at 5:30am. Organizers say the search plan will be explained at that time. They won’t say tonight exactly where it will head.
Pascal Fraser is a business partner of Jody Blais, and a family friend. He is organizing the operation, and says the OPP are aware of it. He says the he and members of the private search effort have been swapping information with them all week.
Fraser is confident that Mr. and Mrs. Blais are still alive, calling them “resourceful and organized.”
