Kapuskasing is celebrating National Francophonie Week.
Mayor Dave Plourde and the members of council are pleased to announce they are supporting the request to declare the week of March 18th through 22nd as ‘La Semaine de la Francophonie’ for the town of Kapuskasing.
Plourde says celebrating this week helps encourage participation in cultural activities.
Some of these activities will include a feature film at the Royal Theatre and also a themed event hosted at the Centre de Loisirs called “La francophonie dans toutes les saveurs.”
Kapuskasing Council also wanted to thank the many sponsors and the individuals involved in this initiative in helping to continue to promote francophone culture.
