Kapuskasing council will get a good look tonight at a new venture from Ontario Power Generation.
The Little Long Dam Safety Project, focused on improving the dam safety on the lower Mattagami River, is what OPG will be detailing to council this evening in a power point presentation.
The OPG address will include an explanation of their proposal; to increase the discharge capacity at the Adam Creek Sluiceway in order to safety pass for a large flood event.
It also will include a description of the project and conceptual designs of preferred locations for additional gating of the existing creek, and details on the cultural, socio-economic and environmental considerations that OPG has taken into account.
