Sensenbrenner Officially Launches CT Scan Campaign, Already Over $500,000

UPDATE: 3:22pm

Impressive start to say the least.

A final detailed total of the current fundraising efforts lands the hospital at $505,521.

That is according to Sensenbrenner Hospital CFO Chantal Boyer-Brochu, who says the amazing efforts of the local community so far and nearby communities, have given staff something to aim for.

Boyer-Brochu says first off, the fact that local members of the community began donating before they even launched their campaign has been unbelievable.

“This is amazing, we did not foresee this, we had people knocking on our doors everyday, businesses, the community, just even people saying I have $20 and we took everything in and we know this that the community wanted this, wants the CT scan as much as the hospital or their hospital wants the CT scan.”

She says seeing Notre-Dame Hospital achieve their goal officially as of yesterday helped to show them that they can as well.

“We are so happy that Notre-Dame did achieve their goal and it did show that their community is happy to have the CT scan, as much as ours and I’m sure that this showed us it was possible, $1.7 million is alot of money for a small community, but Notre-Dame did show us that they could and that we could.”

Boyer-Brochu says the message they also wish to pass along through their campaign is simple, this scan will help everyone as you may not think you need it, but one day, it will come in handy.

“The overall message is this CT scan effects everyone, your family, your friends, your co-workers maybe you have not been affected today, you will be effected tomorrow or the day after or even ten years from now.”

To fill out the final total, a last minute pair of donations were received from Big O Construction in the amount of $5,000 in the memory of John Oreskovich.

As well, another donation of $5,000 was made purely anonymously to help lift the total over the $500,000 mark.

In order to donate, staff says you can go online or can call them directly 705-337-4097, a direct line for donations to the CT scan.

UPDATE: 1:15pm

The current total has doubled, again.

Sensenbrenner has received a $250,000 donation, more than doubling their current total once more as the Hospital’s Auxiliary Staff presented the donation today.

Further details on an updated overall total will be announced as soon as they come in.

UPDATE: 12:19pm

The total along with donations on the day both from business and personal at the launch have now pushed the current total raised to $232,827.

UPDATE: 12:02pm

Not even a full day in and the total has doubled.

Caisse Populaire Alliance has more than doubled the current total of Sensenbrenner Hospital’s CT Scan with a $125,000 donation to add to the $97,842 already totaled prior to today.

Sensenbrenner staff says another donation will be announced around 12:30pm.

The push for easier access to help is on at Sensenbrenner.

The Kapuskasing Hospital has officially launched their CT Scan Campaign as of today.

CFO Chantal Boyer-Brochu says the decision to launch the campaign was made much easier by the nearly $100,000 donated to the hospital already for that purpose.

Boyer-Brochu says there is more to come at 11:45am and 12:30pm as two further donations will be announced to the campaign as of today.

Further details will come as the announcements are made.
