Pet owners in Hearst can now renew their licenses for the New Year.

The town has set out a list of fees related to pet licences, which as they state can really aid the identification of a dog in case they run away or become lost.

A full list of the available tags includes:

• Dog licence tags $30
• Sterilized dog (spayed or neutered) – $5
• Cat licence tags $20
• Sterilized cat (spayed or neutered) $5
• Service animal (for the visually impaired) no fee
• Replacement tags $5
• Dog with electronic identification chip no fee *
* Owner has to register dog at Town Hall in order to get a licence tag

You must also register your dog if you are purchasing a license for the first time at Town Hall.

All fees can also be paid at town hall regarding licences.
