A large donation has given the local food bank a better chance at replenishing its stock.
Rayonier Advanced Materials or RYAM foundation has made a $4,000 donation to the Kapuskasing Food Bank and its Christmas Program.
RYAM’s donation to the food bank will help them towards purchasing gifts for children, special food vouchers for families and also helped them purchase Christmas meals for families in need.
The Food Bank also plans to use the donation to maintain the ability to serve the community following the rush of the Christmas season.
Their plan is to stockpile themselves with food that will be bought in bulk and at a special price.
RYAM also made a $2,000 donation to Habitat Interlude over the holidays allowing them to better serve Christmas gifts to the women and children at the Habitat.
