Over a month into the new recycling changes, residents are being reminded to stick with it.

The township of Fauquier banned plastic bags from being recycled in late November of this past year and since the town has been trying to implement this change.

As of today, the township released a reminder to the community regarding the need to not put plastic bags or plastic packaging in recycling bins anymore.

The current explanation echoes their previous one that there is no market for plastic bags and that they are overflowing already with them at the dump.

The township also once again makes reference to the fact that this is not just a local problem, but rather a global issue.

The options they give residents are to throw plastic bags in the trash or keep them to be re-used.
