Christmas Concert Raises Over $6,000 For Local Youth

For a second straight year, local musicians helped to give back to the next generation of their community.

The fourth annual Christmas Concert Series saw over $6,000 raised towards Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program, the second straight year they have been the beneficiary of the concert’s fundraising work.

Multiple musicians were present, as the event was hosted and organized by Small Town Liberation Project, and joined by Kurtis Edwards and Marie-Josee Couture-Payant.

Organizer Sheldon Reasbeck posted on Small Town Liberation Project’s FB page that the funds raised will be staying within Kapuskasing to provide the opportunity for underprivileged youth to play sports, get new winter coats and many more great things.

Reasbeck says anyone interested in learning more about what Jumpstart does says you can check out their work on their website which you can find through a link here.
