Fill An Ambulance Event Sees Big Jump In Funds Raised

More toys for the girls and boys who are in need.

According to Northeastern Child and Family Services Volunteer Coordinator Mireille Dubosq, they have not quite totaled everything as of yet, but to this point, they have raised over $2200 in cash donations from their ‘Fill an Ambulance’ event.

The Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services and Northeastern Ontario Family and Child Services hosted their annual toy drive at Canadian Tire in Kapuskasing.

Dubosq says for a fifth straight year the community was able to collect new and unwrapped toys to be distributed to the less fortunate through the Christmas Angel Campaign

She says that the event was able to bring in over $600 more in cash donations than they have in any previous year.

Dubosq says at this time the current total of toys and gift cards that were also given have not been added together with the total from monetary donations.

She also says seeing an average jump of $100 to $200 in cash donations each year is astounding, and to see it go up by $600 this year was incredible.

As final totals come in for the ‘Fill an Ambulance’ event they will be updated online.
