An impaired driver has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a collision.
Members of the OPP James Bay Detachments around 2:15am Thursday morning responded to a collision on McPherson Avenue in Kapuskasing.
Police investigation has revealed that an intoxicated female had stolen property from a home, then while attempting to flee injured a pedestrian and took off.
The pedestrian was transferred to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located the driver on Clear Lake Road North and arrested the 32-year-old Ottawa woman on five charges including one count of theft under $5000 and one charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily harm.
The accused has been given a 90-day suspension of her licence and her vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
She is scheduled to appear in Kapuskasing Court on January 21st, 2019.
