Picking up used items can help some local elementary school students enjoy quite the trip to Toronto.
St. Patrick School in Kapuskasing is holding a garage sale next Thursday with all profits going towards an Educational Trip for the Grade 7 and 8 students this coming summer.
Teacher Mrs. Piche says an educational trip is expensive, students need to fundraise to be able to participate, which is why they will host the sale in the school gymnasium next week.
Piche says the sale will involve each student selling their own stuff from home as well as some baked goods.
She says the trip itself will involve five full days of excursions throughout the city of Toronto hitting some major spots including:
- CN tower
- Ripley’s aquarium
- Blue Jay Game
- Parliament
- Old Fort York
- Science Centre
- Wonderland
- Zoo
- American Ninja Warrior (type of obstacle course gym)
- Escape Room
Piche says it is such a great experience that they want everyone to have the opportunity to experience it.
The garage sale will take place Thursday, December 6th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the St. Patrick School gymnasium.
