He also believes that mobility within post-secondary education is certainly an added value for any student.

“The hands-on training at the Cité, coupled with more theory and skills-based education at the University of Hearst, is a winning combination for future young professionals, as such, it is essential to be able to support and encourage those who wish to continue their studies at the University, by valuing their skills within the programs we offer. These generous articulation agreements are innovative bridges that represent benefits for both college graduates and the job market.”

Graduates from La Cite can now receive up to 60 credits of equivalency toward a bachelor’s degree when transferring.

The agreements will recognize two years of practical training in programs such as social work, techniques in business administration, police services, techniques of rehab and also criminal justice from La Cite.

The student can continue at the Bachelor level for a year or two, and can complete their combo studies in the form of 2 + 1, 2 + 2, 3 + 1 and 3 + 2 years to earn both a diploma and degree.
