The STARS and STEP class from KDHS put their coffee making skills to the test this week.
Mrs. Dagenais’ and Mrs. Piche-Swain’s students from Kapuskasing and District High School joined the Kapuskasing Tim Hortons staff at work Monday in some real world training.
Owners Robyn and Andre Bassari welcomed the students and hosted the group, giving them an opportunity to prepare coffee and serve customers.
Mrs. Piche-Swain says students received a breakdown of the preparation process, as well as learned about Tim Horton’s secret 20 minute coffee rule.
She says students also got to enjoy singing Happy Birthday while washing their hands during the cleanup.
Mrs. Piche-Swain says students took turns making and serving coffee, as well as being interviewed using the real questionnaire from Tim Hortons job application process.
The STEP and STARS program would like to send a huge thank you to Robyn and Andre Bassari and all of the Tim Hortons staff for sharing the amazing experience.
