A collision along Highway 11 has led to the death of a Smooth Rock Falls woman.
Kapuskasing OPP Officers, Cochrane District EMS and the Kapuskasing Fire Department responded to the scene of the single-vehicle crash along the highway near Kitigan at 7:50pm.
Provincial Constable Stephanie Belec says the OPP at the scene confirmed the driver 43-year-old Cindy Petit of Smooth Rock Falls was dead.
Belec says Highway 11 between Kapuskasing and Kitigan was closed several hours as OPP crews conducted their investigation.
She says the cause of the collision is still under investigation, and a post mortem examination is scheduled for today.
