Local seniors are being offered free tutorials on how to better involve themselves in the community.
Relais de la Flamme or Cooperative Torch Relay is an event hosted by the Ontario Cooperation Council that will be coming to Kapuskasing and Hearst.
The purpose of the event is to be a workshop for seniors on the idea of community and mentoring.
Organizers say the event will teach seniors how to better share their knowledge with younger generations as well as get more involved in collective community projects.
The workshop will take place at the Universite de Hearst’s Kapuskasing campus on November 14th and in Hearst on the 15th.
