UPDATE: Police placed a hold and secure on Hearst schools this afternoon.
OPP Provincial Constable Stephanie Belec says at 1:50pm this afternoon police responded to a potential threat within the town.
Belec says shortly after police recommended all schools in the area be placed under a hold and secure procedure due to an ongoing situation outside of the schools.
She says at 3:45pm the hold and secure was officially lifted.
Belec says the investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
