Remembrance Day Can Be Celebrated Throughout This Week

Remembrance Day is just around the corner and events are happening throughout area.

Throughout the upcoming week leading up to November 11th Ontarians will have the opportunity to pay tribute to members of the Canadian Armed Forces for their service.

The government of Ontario has announced these events as part of a Remembrance Week.

The Township of Fauquier-Strickland already celebrated their Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday at their Community Center.

November 7th:

Mattice will be hosting a Remembrance Day Service at 11:00am at Ecole St-Francois-Xavier.

 

November 11th:

Hornepayne will celebrate with a Remembrance Day Ceremony thrown by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 beginning at 10:00am at the Legion Hall.

Hearst will celebrate with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 173’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at Place des Arts de Hearst beginning at 11:00am.

In Kapuskasing the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 85 is hosting a service beginning at 10:00am, featuring a parade at 10:30am and wreath laying ceremony at 11:00am followed by a banquet dinner at 5:30pm.

 

Also, on social media, users can show their gratitude and support online by using the hashtag #RemembranceDay.
