A local Hearst event has raised $5,000 for a local town camp.

The Economic Development Corporation for the town of Hearst has announced the 2018 Wild Run Defi Cross-Country Hearst held back on September 29th raised $5,000 for Camp Source de Vie.

The Hearst EDC says they were nearly 150 people racing which led to the $5,000 fundraised that will go towards renovations for the Camp.

Hearst EDC also says the partnership between the Hearst Golf Club, Ski Club and the Racket Club as well as Hearst Tourism and the Camp made for a wonderful event.

They also say the purpose of the race was both to promote physical activity and also to raise funds for the Camp’s projects.

The Hearst EDC says the race will be coming back next year as the organizing committee is anticipating getting even more registrations for Wild Run Defi Cross Country Hearst 2019.
