Hearst Mayor Giving Back Through Own Means

The newly re-appointed Mayor of Hearst is digging into his pockets.

Roger Sigouin, fresh off being unofficially re-elected as Mayor for another term, has announced as of today that he will donate $4,000 of his own money to the CT scan project at Notre-Dame Hospital.

Sigouin made the announcement on-air while joining local French radio station CINN FM in Hearst today to chat about a variety of topics.

During the interview Sigouin made it known he would be making the donation, but he also explained the timing.

Sigouin says why he chose not to make this known prior was in order to make sure that he did not use this to aid him politically prior to the elections.

Notre-Dame Hospital, like Sensenbrenner in Kapuskasing, has plans to obtain a CT scan by 2019.
