The Kapuskasing Fire Department is teaming up again with local hockey players for some fundraising.

Fire Chief Pat Kennedy says if you hear fire trucks moving slowly up and down your street it is because they are teaming together with local hockey teams to collect donations once again for the local food bank Monday evening.

Kennedy asks that you please try to give generously, as last year alone they collected 5,000 pounds of food and $500 in cash.

He says if you can’t be home Monday night; leave your donations in a non-perishable bag at the end of your driveway.

The Kapuskasing Fire Department and Kapuskasing Minor Hockey Association Food Drive will take place Monday, October 29th beginning around 5:00pm.
