Smooth Rock Falls Heritage Centre Receives $134,900

The Heritage Centre grant has been made official.

Smooth Rock Falls has officially unveiled a just under $134,900 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation towards refurbishing their Heritage Centre.

The Capital Grant approved back on March 1st will deliver the grant over three months to help improve infrastructure, while renovating a community space that will host the arts, culture and heritage activities.

Mushkegowuk-James Bay MPP Guy Bourgouin was present and said this grant will allow the area to continue promoting economic development and ensuring participation for its residents. Considering the centre is a meeting place for different organizations within the community, this grant will allow them to continue to grow and establish a healthy vibrant community.

The Smooth Rock Falls Economic Development Corporation wanted to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their financial assistance.
