Rockbox CrossFit Looking To Raise Funds For Special Olympics Canada

This weekend you can get a good pump in, while giving someone the chance to live their dream.

Rockbox CrossFit in Kapuskasing will be hosting its third annual CF/24, which will raise funds for Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

Owner of Rockbox CrossFit Tania Torok says last year their gym helped to raise $4,200 for Special Olympics Canada.

Torok says getting a few more faces out to the event would be great.

“I have more people this year, so I don’t know if it is because I have more members or because from previous years they have seen it and now they want to participate. I have not really asked, but I do have more members participating this year, so more members more funds raised.”

She says the goal they have set this year, they have already surpassed with days to go.

“It would be awesome for sure, we are almost close to that same number as last year, so every year the committee asks us whats your gym goal, and we have surpassed that already and we have about three days left to raise funds, so I think we are going to probably surpass that goal from last year.”

Torok would also like to thank Chez Lizette for sponsoring them and being the provider for the athletes of food and drink.

The Rockbox Crossfit CF/24 event takes place Saturday with doors opening at 9:30am, the first lift begins at 10:00am and you can either donate in person or here.
