Facebook Making Stop In Kapuskasing On Rural Communities Tour

This Friday Facebook is coming to Kapuskasing during Small Business Week.

The corporation has announced that for Facebook’s Connecting Canada’s Rural Communities Tour they will be making a stop in town.

Corporate Communications for Facebook David Troya-Alvarez reached out on behalf of the company to mykapuskasingnow.com to explain the tour.

Troya-Alvarez says it is an initiative to learn more about how Canadians and small businesses in rural communities are using their service and Instagram’s tools to connect.

Managing Director of Facebook Canada Garrick Tiplady says small businesses are important to economic success.

“Small businesses in Canada play a vital role in not only driving the economic growth and creating jobs, but also building communities and bringing people closer together.”

He says the company will work with these small businesses to help them succeed.

“Facebook will continue to work side-by-side with businesses to help them grow and succeed locally and globally.

Local Kapuskasing businesses will be present with representatives to make up a panel.

The businesses: KAP Collision Inc – Mael Lauzon, Papa Franco’s Restaurant – Pierre De Montigny and Eastview Chevrolet – Philip Guertin.

The tour stop will take place at the Centre de Loisirs Friday beginning at 9:30am.
