Provincial Constable Stephanie Belec says officers within the detachments dealt with 76 property crimes such as burglary, arson or theft. Belec also says there were 37 violent crimes including assault, extortion or harassment. These totals in both categories are about on average with the last released recorded month of stats by the OPP, back in June. Belec says there were also only 8 drug offences, which is also on average with the last recorded month from the summer. She also says officers along Highway 11 corridor communities have now completed many hours of their Road Safety and Traffic Enforcement initiative.
