Tomorrow will be the first opportunity for residents of Kapuskasing to get a feel for their candidates.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 85 will be home to a ‘Meet the Candidates’ event at the Legion Hall Thursday evening.
One of the Volunteers setting up the event, James Croteau, says he is expecting all four Mayoral candidates as well as each of the 15 councillor candidates to be present.
Croteau says that each candidate will have five minutes to step up in front of their peers and give a short introduction of who they are and what they hope to achieve.
He says this will not be a form of debating for any of the candidates present, as each will be taking turns to deliver their five minute intro before moving on to the next.
Following all of the introductions, Croteau says the remainder of the evening residents of the community can mingle and chat with the candidates who choose to stay and talk.
The Meet the Candidates event at the Legion begins tomorrow at 7:00pm.
