The town of Smooth Rock Falls is cleaning out their pipes.
Beginning today the town is flushing its water lines for the next full week until Wednesday, October 3rd.
The purpose for the flushing is done to clean the interior of the main pipes which connect water to homes, businesses and hydrants within the community.
The town press releases stated the flushing should create better water quality.

During the flushing, water pressure may lower and there may also be water discoloration.
Flushing will take place Monday through Friday between 9:00pm and 5:00am throughout the town.
