Zombie Walk Raises $300 For Jumpstart

Kapuskasing’s living dead once again came together to raise funds for a great cause.

Saturday saw the fourth annual Zombie Walk in Kapuskasing raising funds for the Jumpstart program of Canadian Tire.

Zombie Walk Committee Organizer Jennifer Coghill says in total they raised almost $300 in donations this year, topping the $50 dollars raised last year.

Coghill says they chose to switch their donations from the food bank to Jumpstart considering kids are the focus of their activities such as the walk.

She also says she wanted to thank Thea Roy for her generous donation of $200 to the event.

Now, Coghill and the Zombie Walk Committee will turn their attention to the Halloween Kids Play and Zombie Dance October 20th, which will also see funds going to Jumpstart.
