With a few recent reports of car theft in the area, the OPP are reminding drivers to lock it or lose it.
The James Bay Detachments of the OPP are reminding residents to lock their cars and homes.
OPP Provincial Constable Stephanie Belec says there have been several recent issues regarding car theft throughout the James Bay Detachments in the past few months.
Belec says you should be removing your keys from your car and remembering to lock all windows and doors.

She says some tips to help you are:
- Remove all valuables or keep them out of sight
- Don’t leave your keys in your vehicle
- Don’t leave personal identification in your vehicle
- Roll up the windows and lock the doors
- Keep garage windows and doors locked
- Install motion sensors for outdoor lights around your property
