Liz McCafferty Park in Smooth Rock Falls will be temporarily closed for September.

The Town of Smooth Rock Falls has announced that they will be completing a total revitalization of the park.

The town says the total revitalization will include:

  • removal of all existing park equipment
  • followed by landscaping
  • the installation of their new equipment
  • then the installation of a junior sized soccer field
  • finish by installing shaded area picnic benches.

The new playground equipment will include two separate playgrounds for different age groups of kids, as well as a net climber added as well for older children.

Smooth Rock Falls hope to have the revitalization completed by the end of the month.
