Canada Needs Task Force To Deal With NAFTA

A task force is what is needed to help Canada negotiate at the table.

According to Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes, Canadians are seeing a struggle to reach an agreement on free trade without all major players at the table.

Hughes says the creation of a Task Force would provide huge dividends for Canada in North American Free Trade Agreement talks by creating more stability in negotiations.

She says having a task force in place would be key for Canada.

Hughes says it is extremely important to create more stability in negotiations through this task force.

She also says Trump’s outrageous measures, whether his comments over Twitter or his actions through the media, are hurting communities and companies.

The United States and Mexico are expected to reach a two-way NAFTA deal either today or in the coming days according to a National Post report.

A deal between the two sides would force Canada to either ‘take it or leave it’ on certain matters.
