Local Man Faces $3,000 Fine For Spoiling Bull Moose

A Kapuskasing man is facing a $3,000 fine for spoiling a Bull Moose.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry have put out a press release that states Rene Vallee of Kapuskasing has been fined under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.

Vallee pleaded guilty this past week to allowing a big game animal go to spoil.

The incident, which took place back on October 27th of last year, involved conservation officers responding to information of an abandoned bull moose just west of Kapuskasing in McKnight Township.

An investigation led officers to the Kapuskasing resident as the suspect who had abandoned the moose to spoil.
