Helicopter rides will not be ongoing in Smooth Rock Falls this weekend.
Smooth Rock Falls Economic Development Corporation Administrative Assistant Trista Breton alerted Moose News this morning of the update.
Breton says that Smooth Truck Fest 2018 received late word this morning that no helicopters will be available for rides this weekend.
She says due to the forest fires within the northeastern region, there are no available helicopters to be used during the truck fest for passenger rides.
At this time the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry are stating that currently 38 forest fires are ongoing in the northeast, all fires are being held or under control, but all necessary crews and teams are still being put toward its containment.
