Smooth Truck Fest kicks off tonight.
The 13th annual event in Smooth Rock Falls begins with Illusionist Aaron Paterson taking the stage at the Reg Lamy Cultural Centre this evening.
Smooth Rock Falls Economic Development Administrative Assistant and Organizer of Truck Fest Diana Brunet says camping is available for $50 from Friday through to Sunday, however bringing a trailer will cost you $10 more per day, and it is first come, first serve.
Brunet says the car show will go tomorrow at the ESSO and Smoothy’s Restaurant Parking Lot, which is also where the parade will begin to the arena or cultural centre around 7:00pm.
She says there are also rules to keep in mind, such as no pets allowed on the golf course site and no open fires during the event as well as no backpacks allowed.
Also, Brunet says Saturday and Sunday will see the kids play area opened up for use until about 5:00pm.
The festival, one of the most prominent and largest events in northern Ontario, provides a very significant economic boost to the community as well as the surrounding area.

Friday: 9:00am to 12:00am
Saturday: 9:00am to 12:00am
