One NDP MPP is taking steps to push the provincial government to reinvest in Northern transportation.
Mushkegowuk-James Bay MPP Guy Bourgouin during question period at Queen’s Park in Toronto called upon the Ford government to finally invest in Northern passenger service.
Bourgouin says the disjointed bus services are forcing Northerners to travel for days just to get to cities that are only a few hours driving.
He says things currently are not good enough.

Bourgouin says the northern communities are struggling and this is not a new story.
He also says while Northern families struggle with fragmented bus services, the Ford government continues to worsen things by refusing to restore the Northlander service.
