UPDATE: The heat warning has now been announced as over by Environment Canada.
The hot weather will continue through the area today.
Environment Canada has listed a heat warning for Kapuskasing, Hearst and Smooth Rock Falls due to the recent hot and humid air mass that has moved over the area.
The weather agency says daytime maximum temperatures will be near or above 30 degrees with humidex values reaching the high thirties.
Environment Canada says cooler temperatures are expected tomorrow after the passing of a cold front.
The weather agency also mentions that people should drink plenty of water today, check on older family, friends and neighbours to make sure they are okay and never leave pets inside a parked vehicle.
